We had a very enjoyable wine tasting at Best's. The cellar door is situated in the original stables of the vineyard and has a special atmosphere. The lady who served us was very knowledgeable about the wines and the history of the vineyard. The tasting serves were more than sufficient. We particularly liked the white blends and their interesting back-story. We also liked the Shiraz, especially the Bin 0 Shiraz. We then went on the self-guided tour of the old winery including the original cellars. The whole experience was very enjoyable and will be recalled by us when we consume the bottles we purchased.
Even if not a wine person, a stop at Best's Cellar Door is worth it for the free self guided tour of their historic wine building and cellar. Loads of parking plus tables and lawns for picnics. Toilets on site. The cellar door do a good tasting range with friendly staff to guide you. Wines are excellent quality.
Interesting old. winery established back in the very early 1800's. You can take a self tour into the old wine cellars and view antique tools for wine making. Free admission. Excellent wine and nice garden to eat a cheese plate you can purchase.
